Founded in 2000, the organization mainly works with the community in the Hills for building a successful ecologically & economically viable livelihood system by the existing resources of the region. Himalayas being a very rich of natural resources like Fibers, flora, fauna always provides many opportunities to explore and build a sustainable model for development. Many of such products which AAGAAS produce, one is APRICOT OIL . An Apricot is a fruit which grows in large numbers in the Himalayas. The People in the region works with the Organization to extract Oil from this Apricot, which is then processed and packaged to be sold. The Importance of this Oil is immense, it is rich in different Vitamins like A, C & E, which is further good for the skin.
